“Everything is energy and energy travels; it is not constrained by physical space or time. Just because it cannot be seen, does not mean it is not real. We cannot see electricity, yet can turn on lights at will. Reiki is like turning on the light of healing that exists in all of us; it is a beautiful energy that turns on the light of healing to promote relaxation and wellness!”
In addition to my passion for hypnotherapy, mind coaching, spiritual, trauma and grief work, I am delighted to also offer reiki healing sessions.
Reiki is a Japanese form of therapy and beautiful spiritual art that aims to increase energy levels and promote relaxation and wellbeing. The underlying philosophy of reiki is that if a person’s energy is low, they are more likely to be unwell or stressed. If it is high, however, they are more capable of being happy and feeling well.
Reiki is based on the idea that we all have an unseen “life force energy” that flows through our bodies, according to the International Center for Reiki Training. A Reiki practitioner gently moves their hands just above or on the client’s clothed body, with the intention of reducing stress and promoting healing by encouraging a healthy flow of energy.
Reiki is not massage nor is it based on belief or suggestion. A Reiki session lasts 60 min. The session is performed by a Reiki Practitioner using specific Reiki hand positions. During a Reiki session, the client is fully clothed while comfortably reclining on a massage table or seated in a chair.
Reiki is a very safe practice provided it is being done by a fully trained and qualified Reiki practitioner. Reiki can do no harm and has no side effects.
Reiki has just recently started to be recognized by insurance companies. While not many are covering Reiki treatments, some are definitely covering part of the sessions fees. It is really worth checking with your local health insurance company for further details.
Reiki sessions or classes are a great investment in yourself!
I was delighted to train with a great teacher in Dubin, Michael Mannix, owner of the multi award winning Reiki school, Kiko Reiki. I attended intensive reiki training courses and sessions and I also regularly attend Reiki shares during which I get to practice with other Reiki practitioners and Reiki practitioners to be. Just like anything else, regular practice and upskilling are key to be able to offer the best services to my amazing clients.
I remember the day, a while back, when I felt called to study Reiki. When I got the feeling, I also questionned it thinking that I was already offering quite a few therapeutic and healing modalities and that maybe I should focus on what I was already offering. But the idea persisted and I finally signed up for a very comprehensive Reiki training. And little did I know at the time, that this would be one of the best decisions I ever made as Reiki is the therapeutic and healing modality that ties most of my work together.
Before any Reiki, therapy, coaching, grief or spiritual work, I always set an intention for the sessiona nd my client and this does definitely take my sessions to another level.
Being a Reiki Master is an honor and a privilege. Being able to pass the system on to others is the same. The Master energies have a different feel to them, they are more complete, of a finer texture and higher vibration.
My Reiki teacher told me that when you're a Reiki Master, It is not about you mastering Reiki, but allowing Reiki to master you. And I have found this to be very true.
Being a Reiki master has filled my journey with varied experiences and amazing revelations. It is indeed a blessing to be attuned at the Master level which has opened the door to a realm of possibilities.
I also personally use Reiki for my health and wellbeing. This melts away any stress I am presented with and also eases any pain that comes to me.
Reiki is not "woo woo!" that is a myth! Reiki is not a religion. So, in essence, Reiki is a form of "spiritually guided life force energy" that is channelled through the Reiki practitioner to the recipient. This is utilising energy and using it effectively. Many more institutions are using Reiki now and endorse Reiki as an alternative therapy.
I feel so blessed to have found Reiki as Reiki has truly changed my life, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
For the time being I offer only in person reiki healing sessions and I will also offer distant Reiki healing sessions in the very near future, so keep your eyes peeled.
Everything transmits and pulsates with energy. We are all energy beings and an unseen universal life-force energy flows through us.
The Reiki practitioner acts as conduits who channel higher, universal energy into their clients to help balance their life force. As previously mentioned, this essentially results in great feelings of relaxation, greater energy levels and improved overall health.
Reiki being a form of energy healing, it is allowing prana, or reiki, to flow through and around our bodies to encourage a sense of wellbeing and connection to the cosmos. The Reiki practitioner uses their hands to guide them to where the life force energy needs to go to encourage healing.
The Reiki belief system and that of the practitioner is that they do not cause the healing, nor are they the source of that healing energy; they are a channel for the energy.
Reiki is now enjoying an equal status and respect to yoga and massage therapy within the wellness industry. Even psychotherapists are recommending it to their clients as evidence suggests that it calms the mind and encourages relaxation. Reiki has increased in worldwide popularity to the point that a reiki practitioner can now be registered as a holistic health professional in the USA and the UK.
Did you know that quite a lot of celebrities worldwide like Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz, Angelina Jolie and even Dr. Oz are touting the benefits of Reiki. Riverdale star Lili Reinhart is so invested that she has even trained to become a Reiki Master!
Are you ready to start your healing journey?
Just remember that self care is a priority.
Self-care is taking steps to address your physical and emotional health needs to the best of your ability. Self-care is not being selfish or self-indulgent. It is something you owe to yourself and Reiki is an amazing modality to help restore physical, emotional and spiritual balance.
